Jo Fong

Jo Fong is a director, choreographer and performer working in dance, film, theatre and the visual arts. She has worked as a performer for over 20 years, with companies such as Rosas, DV8 Physical Theatre, Rambert Dance Company, Mark Bruce Company, Young Vic Theatre and Igloo. She is currently working with Deborah Light and Quarantine Theatre.

Whilst based in London, she co-directed Snag Project, a collective of artists who choreographed, presented and curated work at The Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Clore Studio Theatre at the Royal Opera House and at the Arnolfini in Bristol. Jo moved to Wales in 2006, and worked with National Dance Company of Wales as their Rehearsal Director and also on their Artist Development programme, where she created two new works for the company.

Her most recent work Witness – Portraits of Women Who Dance is supported by Arts Council Wales, and is currently touring UK venues. She is currently in the process of developing two new works called `The Audience´ and `Dialogue´- the second of which is set to tour with Coreo Cymru’s Dance Roads during May 2014.
